Firefighters are people who are exclusively trained rescuers whose primary job is to put out hazardous fire that threaten the civilians and their property. They rescue the people and their possessions by using some specialized equipments. First of all they analyze the nature of the fire and use the equipments appropriately to subdue it. This profession requires some person all the time since an emergency fire break may occur at any part of the day. A firefighter works in shifts as this profession requires constant supervision. A firefighter has to be cautious all the time since he might be required at any part of the day. This is more like a social service sort of job since it involves saving of the people and their properties. A firefighter is also capable of providing emergency medial service also. It is also known as fire brigade or fire department. A firefighter has to be updated with the recent equipments and technology for using them. Different methods are followed in different countries. Usually a 3 digit number is assigned to call the crew for immediate purpose. Firefighters are trained for several days before they come to real time. Firefighters are available in all the countries. Some countries like Australia, china Germany, and Japan have voluntary firefighters and retained firefighters. Voluntary firefighters are those who work without pay while retained players are those who are paid for the particular time they work. Sometimes they have to work round the clock to save lives. The structure of firefighters varies form one country to the other. For example, the use of additional firefighter is common in Ireland, Portugal and Australia. In Germany, fire departments called the Freiwillige Feuerwehr give support to the people at all times. In Berlin, both voluntary fighters and career fire service are available round the clock. The voluntary fire brigade supports the career fire services at big services, accidents and disasters. Austria has a similar structure as Germany. There are career 6 fire services in Vienna, Graz, Innsbruck, Klagenfurt, Salzburg and Linz.
