Firefighting
Firefighting is a very challenging job. People who are expert in extinguishing fire using necessary equipments are called firefighters. Firefighters are found all over the world. They work tirelessly to put out the fire that has broken accidentally. Every country has firefighters to protect the civilians from fire accidents. Fire accidents may happen without knowledge. Firefighters are given an immediate warning as soon as the fire breaks so they can prevent maximum loss of people and their possessions. Fire accidents may be happen due to carelessness or accidentally. For example, if you forget to unplug the iron box while ironing clothes, you may be at a high risk of burning your house.
Gas is another main reason for fire accidents. Accidents can easily occur if you forget to switch off the regulator or if the gas tube from the regulator, either way there is a high risk of explosion. Too much of electrical goods connected to limited power supply may lead to complete fire disaster as increase in load will result in explosion. Fire fighters are given a warning about the fire accidents as soon as the people witness. Fire fighters come in a large caravan carrying the necessary equipments to put off the fire. They risk their lives completely to save people and their belongings.
Fire departments are present in all the countries. They exist even in small villages and towns which they maintain by organizing fairs and other fund-raising activities. Every country has different structure depending on the resources. In Venezuela, there are university firefighters, who attend any emergency in the country. This main job is to develop new firefighting techniques. All the fire fighters working in this country have a university degree in fire fighting. In Japan fire services are organized based on the size of the area. There are about 850 fire head quarters and 3500 volunteer fire corps. The fire service in Japan is armed with over 150000 fire fighters, 21,000 vehicles with 4,800 fire houses and 51,000 trucks.
